The idea for I AM VALUABLE was born out of my deep concern for the safety and dignity of children. For several years, I helped lead the A21 Walk for Freedom in Zurich, Switzerland, raising awareness about human trafficking both locally and globally. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and everything came to a halt, I found myself reflecting on my personal role in this mission to end modern-day slavery. With two young daughters at home and a growing awareness of the alarming rates of sexual abuse in Switzerland — especially the increase in domestic cases during lockdowns — my heart turned toward prevention. I wanted to empower children by helping them understand that their bodies belong to them, that their private parts are private, and what a safe adult looks like. This book is my contribution to the fight for freedom — starting with protecting the youngest among us.

Modern day slavery seems as if it is a never ending big black hole and to think that one can make a difference and shrink that black hole seems like a far reaching goal to attain. But we understand and have seen that if we all do our part we can and will make a massive difference in the rescue of thousands of men, women and children in the 21st century. AND we know that when God calls us he will provide the path to make it come to pass. He is the Father who loves more, is more patient, understands deeper, holds more power and is immensely more present than anyone else we could ever align with.

I Am Valuable is one of the many steps in reaching and raising up the next two generations in their true identity; equipping them with tools to protect themselves to the best of their ability and the knowledge of how to respond if they have been sexually exploited.
